Thinus Van Staden is 19 years old, lives in Benoni and is working at CMH in the East Rand. He has had a love for music and singing from a small child. His rich, powerful baritone voice is a blessing as he will be performing as a backing vocal in the Eagles Rise concert..
Mary Brewis fellowships at Emmanuel Gospel Centre and is currently a receptionist.She has a deep passion for music and has loved singing for as long as she can remember.She is a strong back-up vocalist and we, at Theophonic Recordings, are very excited to have her on board.
Brandon is the youngest violinist on the Theophonic Recordings artist team. He is also an accomplished vocalist and sings with the University of Pretoria Youth Choir and Pretoria Boys High Choir. It is very exciting to have such young and budding talent on board with this concert.
We are blessed to have Anna Poolman as part of the Theophonic Family. She is a member of Emmanuel Gospel Centre and loves singing praises to the Lord. She is one of our treasured soloists as well as a member of the Theophonic management team.
Joaddan Kabula comes from Benoni, Johannesburg. She is in Grade 11 and her favourite subject is English. She joins us as a backing vocalist for this memorable concert.
Sarah Stott is a high school English teacher from Johannesburg and she has been a part of Emmanuel Gospel Centre for most of her life. From a young age, music has played an integral role in her life. As a little girl, she loved hearing her mom play the flute and she has always admired flautists performing whilst sitting in an audience seat. Now Sarah is so excited to be playing the flute for this concert and feels honoured to be a part of such a great project that is sure to be a blessing to all who attend.
Janice is the violist of the Theophonic strings section as well as a vocalist. She is thrilled to be able to join the team having studied Music at the University of Pretoria and majoring in Piano Pedagogy, Music Technology and Music Practice in Education. She considers it a privilege to be able to bring Glory to God through music.
Duran is a talented drummer and we are very happy to have him as part of our Theophonic recordings musicians.
We are very excited to have Nadine van Wyk as one of our most skilled vocalists. Nadine is a singer and songwriter who has written many songs for the glory of God. Nadine says, "My love for music is something that has been part of me all my life. My desire has always been to sing from the heart when expressing praises to God." We are pleased to have her join the Theophonic Recordings family.
Becky started learning the violin at age 7. Her classical training continued through school and she went on to study Music at Wits University, majoring in Composition. Becky scores all the music for the string section of Theophonic Recordings and performs as a violinist. She is an invaluable member of the Theophonic management team.
Joshua Marshall is one of our lead singers and a member of the Theophonic Recordings management team. “Music is an agreeable harmony for the honor of God and the permissible delights of the soul .... music allows me to express myself where words fail me. My desire is to be an instrument of our precious Lord Jesus as I sing words of Life to His people …”
DeWet Engelbrecht is one of Theophonic Recordings soloists. He loves this Message and the opportunity to work together with fellow Believers. In his words: "It is an honour to be part of this group." He loves deep songs and has a soft spot for Afrikaans music. He is a key member of the Theophonic Recordings management team.
Abraham Kaseke is from Zimbabwe, now living in South Africa. He comes from an incredible family of musicians and singers. He will be the electric guitarist for the Eagles Rise concert! After experimenting with instruments like piano, accordion and harmonica, Abraham developed a special interest in the guitar and in particular the electric guitar. “I have always been a church musician and have dedicated my gift to the service of the Bride of Christ.” ”
We are blessed to have Emeal Swart as one of the soloists. "Singing has always been a part of me and I believe God has given me this talent for His will and purpose and I am only too glad to be used as a vessel blessing His Bride.”
Wilton van der Walt has been playing the piano for as long as he can remember. As a child he could play almost anything by ear. Over the years it has developed and been used in service of the Lord. As a song writer, he has written many of the original Theophonic Recordings songs and also performs as a vocalist. Wilton has a wonderful gift of putting together musicians and singers and is a valuable member of the Theophonic Recordings management team. Our success wouldn't be possible without his input and dedication.
Meghan Pike is an Audiologist who is currently doing her community service year in the small town of Ermelo Mpumalanga. She has loved music for as long as she can remember and has completed her grade 7 violin exam with distinction. We, at Theophonic Recordings, are excited to have her join our orchestra.
I am a young bassist from Elohim Tabernacle in Middleburg, serving under the leadership of Pastor Abraham Mahlangu. Music was one of the fundamentals of my upbringing to the extent that I would assign a song to a certain life event experienced and, in that way, I would never forget the experience or the way it made me feel at that point in time. I love music. I believe in its ministry and it is indeed an honour to be part of this experience. I believe God speaks and He speaks through music too. I’ve heard His Voice a couple of times. It keeps me going and music will never perish. God’s Words will never perish. Amen
Esther Kabau is from Kensington and she will be joining our BV team of talented singers! “For me, music creates an atmosphere to draw closer to God. I am so excited for this concert because worship invites the presence of the Lord.”
Shannon is currently a BSc student at TUKS. Music has been an integral part of her whole life. “I was reading music scores before I knew my ABC’s!” She is a violinist for the concert which she believes will be a wonderful blessing to the Bride.
Hi my name is Zoë Rose Vanzeeberg and I'm studying educatio at NWU. I started singing at the age of 10 and ever since I've always been motivated by music being a ministry, I dont believe a good musician is classified as good because of their voice but good because of the message they deliver and I strive to deliver messages based on how Good my God is. Music is personal to me, God is personal to me and that's how I know it's a blessing to the Bride.
My name is Rebekah Marshall. I am from Radiokop, West of Johannesburg. I love anointed music and singing, and I believe that it is a ministry on its own. I started singing in our church from a very early age and just love to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I will be a vocalist at the Eagles Rise concert and am looking forward to an evening full of praise and worship to our Precious Lord!
Mercy Mushaisano who resides in Kempton park, will be one of the soloists and backing vocalists for Eagles Rise Concert. "It is a great honour to be part of this musical concert. Next to God's Word, I believe music is the greatest gift given to mankind."
Mardochée has been playing music for most of his life. A journey that started out from a young age at Sunday School through various instruments, has since made music an integral part of his Christian walk. The acoustic guitar is his favourite! This is his selected channel for expressing his love for the Lord, leaving footprints in the sands of time, as a new book of Acts is being written. Mardochée is a seasoned musician that has played in many concerts, blessing the Bride of Christ.
Marrion grew up in the small town of Stuterheim in the Eastern Cape where his talent was perfected as a musician in his dad's church. He is an extremely gifted musician and plays various instruments, but piano is closest to his heart. He reserves this talent for the Glory and honour of God and His people...
Jeremy Stott is a professionally trained and talented celloist. He is a 17-year-old from Randburg. He has enjoyed making music with various instruments from a young age. He is busy preparing for his Grade 8 cello exam. “I am so privileged to be a part of this event and am praying that it will please the Lord and be a blessing to His Bride.”
We are so privileged to have Mckayla Barnes as a soloist. Mckayla is from Randfontein and she is currently studying nursing and is absolutely loving it. "I am 18 years old and I do what most 18-year olds do, I sing when I am happy, and I sing when I am sad. The only difference between me and most 18-year olds is that I sing for my Lord!”

Emmanuel Kwonglee a trumpeter serving at Emmanuel Gospel Centre. “My foundation in the music ministry began at a young age and was built upon being a part of a Message Believer singing family ...it has influenced my passion for true worship...I believe music reminds us of God's love and Mercy and Grace...music heals and changes atmosphere... I applaud the Theophonic team's music vision greatly and I am honoured to be a part of it.”
Sintiché is passionate about her violin. She has loved the instrument since a young girl and is very excited to have the opportunity to play at the Eagles Rise Concert. She is married to fellow team member, Edwin McHaffie, and she is the Mommy of two gorgeous little girls who enjoy music as much as she does. Sintiche' also co-manages the team's finances and makes sure that we all keep to the budget.
Jehdene plays saxophone in the brass section. She studied Music in school and has been playing the saxophone since High School days in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal. “I am thrilled to be a part of this project. Besides the exposure to such beautiful music, I have met amazing fellow musicians and made some great friends. It’s not often that you get the opportunity to work together with super talented people from different churches and unite in harmony for God’s Glory. The practice sessions have been loads of fun, but really anointed at the same time and I can’t wait for the actual concert on 22 June 2018. I believe that it is going to be a masterpiece of epic proportions and that many people will be blessed by it.”

Michael Van Aarde is a gifted musician in many facets. We are excited to have him join the Theophonic Recordings family as a saxophonist.
Joshua Holcroft is a gifted violinist. He resides in Kempton Park, Johannesburg. In his own words, “To me personally, music is a unique language that speaks to me in a much deeper way than any other language ever could. It is a beautiful experience.” We couldn’t have put it any better and are excited to have him join our family at Theophonic Recordings
Eenga Kahumba resides in Fourways Gauteng and fellowships at EGC. We are excited to have him join Theophonic Recordings as one of our back up vocalists. In his own words, Eenga says “My love for music is too great to sum up in a few words. I'm very excited and humbled to be part of this Theophonic Recordings family.”
Armand Poolman has grown up in the Message. His love for music has always been a part of him. "I've always loved music". He is a seasoned musician and has been involved in music for over 15 years. We are proud to have him as one of our backing vocalists as well as a key member of the Theophonic Management team.
Nehemiah started with the trombone at age 11. He played in a variety of jazz big bands from a young age including, Victoria Park High School 1999. While studying Music at Tukkies in Pretoria, he played in the Tukkies Orchestra and different gospel bands. He has featured in various gospel recordings and is currently fully employed as Principal Trombone Player in the National Ceremonial Guard Band and a Defence Force member.
